Copper Round Bar
We manufacture & stock a full range of copper round bar for use in a variety of industries
Copper Round Bar
We manufacture high-quality copper round bar in a wide range of diameters to suit electrical, engineering and manufacturing applications. Copper combines excellent electrical and thermal conductivity with good corrosion resistance. This makes round bar a practical choice for electrical components, machined parts, connectors and general engineering.
Alongside copper round bar, we also supply busbar, flat bar, square bar, wire, sheet and tube. Our in-house capabilities include precision cutting and CNC machining, allowing us to support both standard material requirements and custom copper components.
What is a round bar?
It is a solid cylindrical section supplied in straight lengths and a wide range of diameters. The consistent round profile makes it particularly suitable for turning, machining and producing cylindrical components. Especially where conductivity, durability and dimensional accuracy are important.
At ILF, we manufacture copper in diameters from 3 mm to 8 inches, with several grades available to suit different electrical, engineering and manufacturing requirements.

Key Benefits of Copper Round Bar
It’s profile provides a versatile starting material for electrical, engineering and manufacturing applications. A solid cylindrical profile works particularly well for machining, turning and producing components that require reliable electrical or thermal conductivity.
2
Excellent Conductivity
Copper offers excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, making round bar suitable for electrical components, connectors, switchgear parts, grounding components and other applications where efficient conductivity matters.
1
Strong, Solid Profile
The solid cylindrical section provides a consistent material profile that engineers can machine into pins, bushes, connectors and other round components. Its uniform shape also makes it suitable for turning and precision manufacturing.
3
Easy to Machine and Fabricate
Ability to be cut, drilled, and machined to suit a wide range of requirements. Different grades also provide options where machinability or conductivity takes priority.
4
Multiple Industry Uses
Manufacturers use bars across electrical engineering, power distribution, automotive, transport, general engineering and precision manufacturing applications.

Copper Round Bar FAQs
It is used across electrical, engineering, manufacturing and industrial applications. Common uses include electrical components, connectors, earthing systems, switchgear components, machined parts, fasteners and other components where good electrical or thermal conductivity is required.
We can supply copper round bar in a wide range of diameters, with standard sizes available from 3 mm up to 8 inches. If you require a diameter outside our standard range, speak to our team about your specification and we will advise on the options available.
We can supply copper in several grades, including C101, C103, C109 and C111. The most appropriate grade will depend on factors such as conductivity, machinability, fabrication requirements and the intended application.
C101, also known as CW004A or Cu-ETP, is a high-purity grade containing a minimum of 99.90% copper. It offers excellent electrical and thermal conductivity and is commonly specified for electrical and general engineering applications.
Yes. It can be cut, drilled, turned and machined to produce a wide variety of components. Where extensive machining is required, the choice of copper grade can make an important difference, so our team can help you select a suitable material for your manufacturing process.
Yes. Copper’s excellent electrical conductivity makes round bar suitable for many electrical and power distribution applications, including connectors, earthing components, switchgear and other conductive parts.
